Commissioning the purifier UF 500
IMPORTANT: before commissioning the purifier, the electrical power supply plug for the
unit must be disconnected. The electrical power supply must not be connected until Point
N°: 7 of the commissioning procedure described below.
Pressurisation of the purifier :
Follow the pressurisation procedure described below carefully, this will ensure that the
purifier is completely purged and all trapped air is removed. During this purge operation, the unit
may briefly produce some slightly coloured water, this is perfectly normal.
1) Open the pure water tap to the permanent flow position.
2) Slowly open the purifier inlet valve until it is fully open.
3) Let the tap with purified water run for 6 minutes (this period of time is essential for proper
functioning).
4) Leave the pure water tap open and close the inlet valve for approximately 1 minute.
5) Open the tap at the entrance to the purification device again and let the water run from the tap
with purified water for at least 2 minutes.
6) Close the pure water tap.
7) Carefully check the purifier inlet and outlet connectors for leakage, as well as the pure
water tap connector. If no leakage is detected, connect the electrical power supply plug of
the purifier.
8) Open the pure water tap to the permanent flow position and allow it to run for 1 minute.
9) Purging and commissioning of your Cintroclear purifier is now completed.
Functioning of the UV sterilizer on the UF 500 :
The last stage of the treatment is a UV sterilizer. His working is linked to a pressure switch that you
can see on the back of the purifier. This controle unit guides the UV operation in relation to the
water pressure at the purifier outlet. When you open the pure water tap, the UV engages itself.
When you close the tap, the UV switches off.
Conditions for a good working of the UV lamp :
The goods operation of the UV is directly linked to the inlet water pressure of your purifier. These
recommended pressures are min. 2,5 bar / max. 5,5 bar. Outside this segment, dysfunctions may
occur. Bellow 2,5 bar, the UV lights continually. Above 5,5 bar, the UV will not switch on when you
consume pure water (possible solution : provide a pressure regulator)
