All three compact switches have a small form factor with no fan, include a magnet for flexible
mounting, and have a dual-purpose 10/100/1000 or SFP uplink. A cable guard for securing
the Ethernet cables and a 19 inch rack mount can be ordered separately. Table 2 lists the ordering
information for the cable guards and rack mount for the compact switches.

The Cisco Catalyst 3560-8PC Compact Switch delivers up to 15.4W on all eight Fast Ethernet
ports. It comes with the Catalyst 3560 IP Base Image, which supports advanced quality of service
(QoS), rate-limiting, access control lists (ACLs), Dynamic ARP Inspection, IP Source Guard, DHCP
Snooping, and NAC. The Catalyst 3560-8PC is upgradeable to the IP Services or Advanced IP
Services Images.
The Cisco Catalyst 2960-8TC and Catalyst 2960G-8TC Compact Switches deliver Fast Ethernet
and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. These switches come with the Catalyst 2960 LAN Base Image,
which supports intelligent services for entry-level enterprise customers.
Availability
The new compact Cisco Catalyst 3560 and Catalyst 2960 Series Switches will be available and
orderable in January 2007.
