SETUP
This step will vary depending on the audio source used. When in doubt, consult the device's
manual before making these necessary adjustments:
Set bass and treble to neutral levels

Turn off the equalizer (EQ) or set it to a "flat" preset
•
Turn off sound enhancement, noise reduction, or virtual surround sound/3D effects
•
It is essential that all EQ settings associated with your audio source or listening
device be properly neutralized (in particular, bass levels turned down), as this could
significantly impact the sound quality.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If ZO does not turn on:
Make sure the battery is charged

If no sound is heard, or sound is intermittent:
Make sure ZO is turned on
•
Try raising the volume of ZO
•
Put ZO into high gain mode if using headphone out from audio source
•
Check player/audio source for power and volume
•
Check the plug connections
•
Try a different cable
•
If the audio sounds distorted:
Try a different cable
•
Make sure the EQ on the audio source is turned off
•
Try a lower contour profile
•
Make sure any other audio enhancements are turned off
•
Reduce the volume of your audio source, and increase the volume of ZO
•
Reduce the volume of ZO, and increase the volume of your listening device
•
If the battery does not charge:
Make sure the port is USB 2.0
•
Make sure your computer is turned on or out of sleep mode
•
Try a different charging cable
•
If noise is heard when ZO is charging:
Use a USB wall adapter instead of your computer for charging
