ADVANCED SETTINGS
7.1
Set the Dial Mode
The default dialing mode is suitable for your country and network operator. It is unlikely that you should need to
change this setting unless advised to do so.
1. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to select SETUP BS.
2. Press <Menu> to select DIAL MODE.
3. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to select TONE or PULSE.
4. Press <Menu> to save.
NOTE
If pulse mode is selected, press <*> to switch from pulse to tone dialing temporarily when dialing out. After the call
is ended, the dial mode will resume to pulse.
7.2
Set the Flash Time
The default dialing mode is suitable for your country and network operator. It is unlikely that you should need to
change this setting unless advised to do so.
1. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to select SETUP BS.
2. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to select FLASH TIME.
3. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to the flash time you want. (8 options are available: 90, 100, 110, 250, 300, 400,
600 and 700MS)
4. Press <Menu> to save.
7.3
Set the Area Code
1. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to select SETUP BS.
2. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to select AREA CODE.
3. Press <Menu> and enter the area code.
4. Press <Menu> to save.
7.4
Registration
Up to 5 handsets can be registered to one base station. Additional handsets must be registered to the base before
you can use them.
7.4.1
Register a handset
The original handset is pre-registered to use. To register an additional handset,
1. Place the unregistered HS on the charger.
2. Press and hold <Find> for 4 seconds on Base.
3. Release <Find> once IN USE LED is flashing.
4. A confirmation tone is generated if registration is successful. HANDSET X is displayed where X denotes the
number of handset and the phone goes back to idle.
7.4.2
De-register all handsets
1. Unplug the power from the base.
2. Press and hold <Find> on base for 10 seconds.
3. Plug the base power
4. Release once IN USE LED starts to flash rapidly.
5. Within 2 seconds, press and release <Find> on base again will de-register all handsets and the IN USE LED
icon on base will be off. NOT REGISTERED is displayed on all handsets.
7.5
Reset All Settings
All personalized settings will be reset to default, but the date and time settings will be remained.
1. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to select RESET SETTINGS.
2. Press <Menu> and <Up/Down> to select ALL SETTINGS.
3. Press <Menu> to select YES
4. Press <Menu> to reset all settings to default.
