significantly outperform lesser ink technologies. Imagine producing
professional neutral and toned black-and-white prints with higher density
levels and virtually no metamerism or bronzing.
Incorporating our latest 1-inch wide print head, produces almost twice
the print performance of our previous model line, while an astonishing
resolution up to 2880 x 1440 dpi delivers a level of image quality that
even exceeds our previous best.
Capable of handling virtually any media type, in roll or cut-sheet, up to
24-inch or 44-inch wide, Epson once again sets the standard for
professional media use. Whether you're producing sellable color or black-
and-white photography, fine art reproduction, or color accurate proofs
for client approvals, never before have creative professionals had such a
powerful tool allowing them to produce their vision without compromise.
Our latest wide-format printers represent a level of technology
unprecedented in Epson's history. Combining the extreme precision of an

Two User-exchangeable Black Ink Modes

Both printers can utilize two different black ink modes – Photo Black
or Matte Black. This innovative solution optimizes the black ink density
for various media types, dramatically improving the final print quality.
The standard Photo Black ink mode can be used for any media type
with professional results. However, for certain Epson media types such
as Velvet Fine Art, Enhanced Matte, and UltraSmooth Fine Art, using
the optional Matte Black ink mode instead will dramatically increase
your black optical density for even better print quality.
