5. Lift the load lever up and open the

load plate.

7. Visually ins pect if the CPU is

seated well into the socket. If not,

take out the CPU with purely verti-

cal motion and reload it again. Then

c over t he l oad plat e on to t he

package.

9. Align the holes on the mainboard

with the cooler. Push down the

c ool er until its f our c lips get

wedg ed into the h oles of the

mainboard.

Hardware Setup

6. After confirming the CPU direction for

correction mating, put down the CPU

in the socket housing frame. Be sure

to grape on the edge of the substrate.

Note that the alignment keys are

matched.

8. Press down the load lever lightly

onto the load plate, and then se-

cure the lever with the hook under

retention tab.

10. Press the four hooks down to fas-

ten the cooler. Then rotate the lock-

ing switch (refer to the correct di-

rection marked on it) to lock the

hooks.
