the bass and treble
The simplest way to shape the souud is

Using sound modes
The souud modes allowyou to add various surrouud
aud room-typesouud effectsto your DVDs, CDsm_d
other sources.These effectsprocessthe sound in various
ways to simulate differentspacessuch as a theater; or
concert hall.
For DolbySurround, DolbyDigital or DTSsurround
sources,such as DVDs, use the AdvaucedTheater effects
to add mum mnbience to the sound; for stereo-ouly
sources,such as audio CDs,use the DSPmodes.
For each effectyou cm_also adjust howstmug the effect
sounds. Often,a mote subtleeffectleveleuhauces the
sound better thau turuiug it right up. Experimeut tu see
what worksbest for you.
Listening to surround-sound
sources
Wheuyou play DVD discs with DolbyDigital or DTS
sound, choose from the fbllowiugsound settings.

Auto - For digital sources,decoding is automati-
cally selectedaccordingto the source: DolbyDigital,
DTS,DolbyPm Logic,2-charnel stereo,etc. No extra
effectsate added to the source. Analogsources are
played in the stone way as the Surround Offsetting.

Standard
