TIME FADE EDITING
Tracks are selected within the specified time and playback
pauses with a fade-out.
1. During stop mode, press the COMPU/TIME
FADE
button 2 times.
The FADE
indicator lights and "DISC?" appears on the
display.
Select the disc No. with the disc number button.
"TIME?" appears on the display.
. Enter the playing time in minutes with the digit
buttons (7)~{0).
Press the 10's digit button and 1's digit button sequentially.
{To enter 9 minutes or less, press [0] and then the cor-
responding digit button.) For example, to enter 23 minutes,
press [2] and [3] sequentially.
The displayed time is memorized. The player programs the
tracks within the selected playing time.
Instead of the digit buttons, the 4
<< or >>
mr button
can be used to select the tape playing time. Each time the

button is pressed, the time will be changed in the
following sequence:
23 - 27 + 30 —
45 —~ 37¢-———_

<< button, the time will be changed in the
reverse direction. After the time is selected, be sure to press
the COMPU/TIME FADE button. When the COMPU/TIME
FADE button is not pressed within a few seconds after the
time is selected with the <<<

PP button, the
displayed time is automatically memorized,

button in step 3, the displayed time is automatically
memorized if the #4

within 3 seconds.
If Random playback, Track Search, Disc Search or Magazine
Hi-Lite Scan is done during Time Fade Editing play, Time
Fade Editing will be cleared.
If a tape playing time beyond the total! playing time is
selected, the player cancels the Time Fade Edit mode and
enters stop mode after the specified disc is played.
During Time Fade operation, programming for Program
Playback/Delete Program Playback cannot be carried out.
If you wish to enter the time with the digit buttons after the
time is already entered with the #4
<< or >>
mp} button
in step 3, press Bi).
The digit buttons can now be
operated.
if the magazine is in the player, the contents of the Time
Fade Editing will not be erased even if the power is turned
off.
