Playing DVDs, CDs and Video CDs

Do not place discs in the twopartially accessible
discspaces, as it's easy to misalign them. Useonly the
front-most space.
Whenusing the DISC
SKIP bulton,
wait until the
disc h'ayhas come to a completestop beforeloading a
disc; the playermay malfunction if a disc is caught in
the disc tray mechanism.
• Do not rotate the disc h'ayby hand. Always use the
DISC SKIP
button.
Press I_/11 to start playback of the disc
just loaded.
• If you're playing a DVD or videoCD, a nrenu may

Load a disc.

Loada disc with the label sidefacing up, using the disc
tray guide to align the disc (ifyou're loading a double-
sided DVD disc, load it with the side you want to play
face down).
If you want to load nmre discs,pressDiSC SKIP to
rotate the disc tray.Youcan load up to fivediscs at once.

Starts playback or pauses a disc that's
playing (press again to restart playback).
DVD and Video CD only: Resumesplayback
of a stopped disc.
Stops playback. DVDand VideoCD only:
Display shows resume (press 1,/11to start
playback again from the last place
stopped).

Press & hold for fast reverse scanning.
(After 5 seconds, scanning continues even
after releasing the button: press l, q ll to
resume normal playback.)
