1. Using a 4"(10.2 cm) c lamp, connect vent t oexhaust outlet in
dryer. Ifconnecting toexisting v ent, m ake sure thevent i s
clean. The dryer vent m ust fit over t hedryer e xhaust outlet
and inside t heexhaust hood. Make sure thevent i ssecured to
exhaust hood witha 4"(10.2 cm) c lamp.
2. Move dryer i ntofinal position. Donotcrush orkink vent. M ake
sure dryer i slevel.
3. (On gasmodels) Check t obesure there arenokinks inthe
flexible g asline.
1. Check t obesure allparts are now installed. Ifthere isanextra
part, g oback through t hesteps tosee which step was
skipped.
2. Check t obesure youhave allofyour t ools.
3. Dispose of/recycle allpackaging materials.
4. Check t hedryer's f inal l ocation. Besure thevent i snot
crushed o rkinked.
5. Check t obesure thedryer i slevel. See "Level Dryer."
6. Plug intoa grounded 3 prong outlet. Turn onpower.
7. Remove theblue protective filmontheconsole andany tape
remaining onthedryer.
8. Read t he"Dryer User I nstructions."
9. Wipe thedryer d rum interior thoroughly withadamp cloth to
remove any dust.
10.Set t hedryer o nafullheat c ycle (not a naircycle) for
20minutes andstart t hedryer.
If the dryer will not start, check the following:
•
Dryer is plugged into a grounded 3 prong outlet.
•
Electrical supply is connected.
•
House fuse is intact and tight, or circuit breaker has not
tripped.
•
Dryer door is closed.
11. When the dryer has been running for 5 minutes, open the
dryer door and feel for heat. If you do not feel heat, turn the
dryer off and check to see whether gas supply line shutoff
valve is open.
•
If the gas supply line shutoff valve is closed, open it, then
repeat the 5-minute test as outlined above.
•
If the gas supply line shutoff valve is open, contact a
qualified technician.
