Description of Operation
The outdoor rated Remote Pump Station Alarm Panel is connected to either dry or 120 VAC powered contacts
from a pump basin "Main Control Panel".
The dry contacts from the "Main Control Panel" must be rated for 120 VAC, 1 Amp Minimum. The panel is
designed to be connected and field configured for Dry (Normally Open) or 120 VAC powered signals from the
"Main Control Panel".
When the signal is received from the "Main Control Panel", the alarm indicator, alarm buzzer and auxiliary
contacts activate. Pressing the Alarm Silence pushbutton silences the buzzer, but the alarm indicator and auxiliary
contacts remain activated.
When the signal from the "Main Control Panel" deactivates, the alarm indicator and auxiliary contacts turn off and
then auto resets the alarm buzzer for the next alarm cycle. The auxiliary contacts in the remote alarm can be used
to connect to auto dialers or Building Automation Systems (BAS).
Installation of Pump Station Alarm
1. Determine mounting location for the alarm panel and mount to a wall or wall structure. The panel has flanges
on the top and bottom which have mounting holes, use appropriate fasteners to securely mount the enclosure
to the wall or wall structure.
2. Determine conduit entrance locations on the alarm panel and install per local codes. Check schematic and
determine the number of power sources required. Use conduit sealant on all conduits to prevent moisture and
gases from entering the alarm panel.
3. Connect wires (recommended THHN 18 AWG wire) from the main control panel to the alarm panel, refer to
Figure 2 and Figure 3 on Page 2 for wiring options.
4. Verify correct wiring after installation is complete by activating the main panel alarm system, the remote alarm
