3 .Check regulation and Adjustment Silent mechanism

Adjustment of action in the Silent mode is done with the Silent mechanism engaged.

Switching of silent / normal play is done with the [POWER] or [QUIET] button on the front panel for

Grand Piano, with the Silent Pedal (Center) for Upright Piano.

Grand Piano

■Hammer shank stopper check / adjustment

[Standard]

・Adjust and set the hammer shank stopper cushion to contact the hammer shank vertically.

・While the silent mechanism is disengaged, hammer shanks do not contact the hammer shank

stopper when depressing keys. (Fig.1)

[Procedure]

Turn the stroke adjustment screws A and B on the treble

side of the Keybed (Fig.2) as necessary to adjust the shank

stopper angle.

・ Turn nut A to so that the hammer shank stopper is

parallel to the strings when the silent mechanism is

inactive.

・Turn nut B to so that the hammer shank stopper is

vertical to the hammer shank when the silent

mechanism is active.

■Hammer shank stopping position adjustment

[Standard]

Set the hammer shank stopping position to 5mm – 6mm from the strings

[Procedure]

Replace Hammer shank stopper cushioning as needed.

Cut as follows:

Bass:365mm, Middle:375mm, Treble:232mm .
