Make sure your fingers do not get pinched be−
tween the peda匪and kettle when fo匪ding the
pedal or pedal base、
When movingthetimpani overadistance,such asfrom
roomto room,makesurethatthe instrumentiscarried
by at Ieast two persons.
The casters on the sliding legs are convenient when
movingthetimpani shortdistancesoversmooth su6aces
such as when changing stage setups,etc.Tt)move the
timpani,unlock the casters,slightly Iift the pedaI frame
off ofthe ground and sIowly move the timpani fon'vard or
backward as shown in the iIIustration below.
Be careful not to damage the legs whiIe moving the
timpani.
★Damage may occur if the timpani is dropped or
falls from a high pIace.

Thetimpani isshippedwith auniversal styIetuning indicatoralreadyattached(performer's Ieftside)however,
the tuning indicator can be relocated for German style tuning(performer「s right side).
Using the supplied hex wrench,remove the two boIts holding the tuning indicator in place as shown in the
diagram below,then sIide the boItsthrough the holes on the tuning indicatorfrom the opposite side.Ineither
position,make surethatthe note indicatorbridge is easilyviewabIe.
