Tracking your device's location
About location tracking
When location tracking is turned on in the BlackBerry® Protect application on your BlackBerry device, you can use the BlackBerry Protect web
site to view your device's approximate location on a map. This feature can help you find your device if it is ever lost.
Your device sends its location only when you request it through the BlackBerry Protect web site or when the battery power level is low; your
device does not report its location on a regular basis. However, if you do not want your device to be able to send its location to the BlackBerry
Protect web site, you can turn off location tracking in the BlackBerry Protect application on your device, but then you will not be able to view
your device's location if it is lost.
If location tracking is turned on and you share your BlackBerry Protect account with another person, that person can view your device's location
at any time through the BlackBerry Protect web site.
