INDUCTION HEATER

GENERAL SAFETY

1. Keep a fire extinguisher or fire blanket alongside at all times when using the heating inductor.
2. Ensure no flammable products are near the work area while using the heating inductor.
3. Do not use the heating inductor within 150mm of any air bag component. The heat created
by the heating inductor can ignite the air bag squib propellant causing it to explode without
warning.
4. Do not operate the heating inductor while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or any
medication.
5. The heating inductor can heat these metallic objects very quickly and cause serious burns or
even ignite clothing.
6. Do not use an attachment if the insulation has been breached. They cannot be repaired, only
replaced.
7. Ensure the heating inductor is connected to a supply that is adequately earthed. (Grounded)
8. Do not use the heating inductor in the rain, moisture or immersed in water.
9. Exposing the heating inductor to water or other liquids can cause an electrical shock hazard.

PERSONAL SAFETY

1. If you have a cardiac pacemaker or any other kind of electronic or metal surgical implant DO
NOT operate this tool, and always stay at least 1 metre away from anybody operating it.
2. Although the magnetic fields emitted by the tool only travel a few inches, they pose a
dangerous risk to the proper operation of all implanted medical electronic devices in the user
and any bystanders.
3. Do not operate the heating inductor while wearing any metallic items such as jewellery,
(including ring, watches, chains, identification tags, body piercing) or belt buckles.
4. Do not wear clothing that contains metallic rivets, waistband buttons, pocket buttons or
zips when operating the heating inductor.
5. Fumes and smoke from hot/burning adhesives are toxic. Wear an appropriate dual filter
(dust and fume) mask.
6. Always wear heat-resistant gloves when using the heating inductor as it heats metal very
quickly. It can be easily burn your hands and fingers when trying to remove parts from hot
metal surfaces.
7. Do not touch the coil, rope coil or body pad when the heating inductor plugged into the
outlet.
8. Coils will be hot after use, please take great care when fitting/removing.
9. Do not use OE 0610 near the device with pyrotechnics (e.g. airbag). The resulting heat can
cause their unexpected explosion. Keep a minimum distance of 10-20 cm from these devices.
