Nikon Coolpix 880 Digital Still Camera
WARNING! Do not touch the lens on the front of the camera or the LCD screen on the
back. Doing so will damage them.
1. Before turning on the camera, make sure the lens cap is removed from the front of the
camera. Do this by squeezing the two tabs on the lens cap together and pulling it off
the camera.
2. To turn on the camera, find the switch on the top of the camera
that is silver in the center and has two positions, on and off.
Rotate this switch to "on."
3. To take a picture, rotate the dial on the top of the camera until the
word "auto" is next to the white bar on the top of the
camera.
4. From here on out, this handles just like a normal camera.
Line up your picture using the LCD screen on the back of
the camera or use the viewfinder. Press the silver button on
the top of the camera part way down to set the focus and
exposure. Press the button down completely to take the
picture.
5. When finished taking photos, remember to power off and put the lens cap back on the
camera lens.
6. Delete you photos: Go to the playback menu on the mode control. Then press the
menu button. Select the delete option. From here you can delete either individual
images, or all images.
Troubleshooting and Battery Charging
1. The camera won't turn on.
The battery probably needs charging. Remove the battery and place it on the charger.
When the light on the charger stops flashing, the battery is completely charged.
2. The camera says there's no more room on the memory card.
The memory card is full, you need to delete some of the photos. To do this you need to
power on the camera as if you were going to take a picture, but then turn the dial on the
top of the camera until the triangle picture is next to the white bar. Use the silver arrow
key to look through your photos. If there is a picture you want to throw away, click the
