IMPORTANT:
To properly operate and maintain your BAYCO VR6100 series vapor elbow
the following instructions are provided. Please read with care as improper
handling or maintenance may cause a hazardous condition.
CAUTION
Do not modify your BAYCO VR6100 series vapor elbow for any reason. It can
result in a hazardous condition due to operating difficulties or operation
malfunction. Disassembly or tampering will void the product warranty.
Never smoke or allow an open flame near your dispenser when handling
volatile materials such as gasoline and fuels. An explosion could result.
Remember safety is everyone's business.
CARE & HANDLING
Bayco vapor elbows are tested at the factory and are in proper working
condition when shipped. Vapor elbows are designed to be tough and to
provide long service with reasonable care and handling. To ensure long
service Bayco elbows should not be thrown, dropped or dragged; such actions
may compromise the integrity and reduce the service life of the product.

INSPECT FOR DAMAGE
Drop elbows can fail to operate if not properly maintained. If the VR6100
vapor elbow develops any problems, remove from service and contact your
Bayco distributor describing the difficulty. The distributor will provide further
instructions for repair and warranty of the product.
Elbows should be inspected monthly. Check the adapter-to-elbow o-ring
seal (item 20) and the flange where the base is attached to the elbow body for
any signs of leakage. Check and tighten all fasteners periodically. Check the
seal (item 4), cams (item 2) and the lift handle (item 3) periodically. Change
parts if necessary.
INSTRUCTION
- Inspect elbow for missing or damaged parts, make sure the seal (item 4) is
in place.
- Remove any obstructions from the manhole before removing filler cap and
connecting the elbow.
- Securely fasten the elbow to the adapter in the manhole before connecting
hoses.
- Check that the vapor and liquid hose connections have seals in place and
then couple hoses to elbow.
TO COUPLE:
Firmly push the handle bar (item 6) vertically down onto service station
adapter until locking arms pop in and ensure full clamping (handle bar cannot
be moved any farther). Check locking arms (item 2) on adapter.
TO UNCOUPLE:
Push down the handle bar (item 6) and then squeeze the handle bar (item 6)
and the lift handle (item 3) until locking arms (item 2) disengage.
WARNING
- Failure to have hoses connected can cause product spillage or vapor loss
resulting in a potential fire or explosion, or water or soil pollution.
- Do not activate system until all connections are coupled.
- Do not put your figures between the handle bar (item 6) and the lift handle
(item 3).
ATTENTION
In the event you are splashed, remove all wetted clothing immediately. Do not
go into an enclosed area, and stay away from ignition sources.
