The engine
may
be sropped in one of
two manners depending upo
n the equip­
ment
found
on
your particular engi ne.
1. Press shorting clip firmly
against the
rop
of
the
spark
plug terminal
until
engine has completely sropped
ru
nning.
(There is no danger of the
operator
being shocked as long as the clip is
held firmly against the spark plug ter­
mi
nal.)

give about 2/3
of the full speed of the engine. Slowly
turn the needle
valve
(
see
Fig.
No
.1)
clockwise until engine begins
to
lose
speed
.
Then
turn the needle
in
the
oppo­
sire dir
ectio n
un
til
the engine begins
to
accelerate.
T
he leanest mixture between
these two points will allow a
satisfactory
acceleration
and steady
governor
action.
This
will
give the
proper
ad justment.
(
Clockwise movement of needle will lean
mixture;
coumer clockwise .rnovement
will riche

mixrure.
