Preparing the device for operation.

Before you connect the GuideDreamST4 to the PC for the first time, you will need

to install the USB to COM CP210x driver, which is located on the CD-ROM from

the kit.

You also need to install the ASCOM platform from http://www.ascom-

standards.org/ and the ASCOM driver GuideDreamST4, which is on the CD from

the kit.

Connect GuideDreamST4 to the PC using a USB cable, and connect to mount using

an ST4 cable from the GuideDreamST4 kit.

Below, in Fig. 1, using the example of the MaximDl program, shows the selection

of the "GuideDreamST4 telescope driver" device from the ASCOM interface in the

"Telescope" section:
