Construct Frame Spacer

Measure the distance from the front end of the hopper

sill to the front of the vehicle bed. Construct a frame

spacer from 2" x 8" lumber to fit that area.

CAUTION

Failure to construct and install the frame

spacer could result in damage to the spreader

and/or vehicle.

Install Tie-Down Ratchet Straps

Install ratchet straps from the tie‑down loops on

the spreader hopper legs diagonally outward to the

vehicle frame.
