1. Assembly and Setup

The head can be swiveled 360° by loosening a thumb-screw on the left side of the body just below the head. Be careful

not to loosen the screw too much, as the head can become detached. Should the head become detached, simply loosen

the thumb-screw enough to allow the head to be re-seated until flush with the body, then tighten the thumb-screw.

CAUTION: Never lift the microscope by the head. If the head is not properly seated, it can become separated, causing

the body to fall, or otherwise damage the coupling mechanism. During transport, hold the microscope by the body in an

upright position to prevent the head, eyepieces, or other parts from falling.
