5.5. Surface Mount Back Box

The surface mount back boxes allow flush and surface cable duct via conduits.

The FAA−500−SB−H box has an additional seal for damp rooms.

For surface cable duct use the side knockouts . For flush cable duct, there are two ope-

nings in the bottom (see Fig. 15.):

− Y: ∅ 20 mm for cable gland PG 13,5

− Z: ∅ 25 mm for 3/4'' conduits.

Using cable glands PG 13,5, the maximum cable gauge is 1,2 cm.

Mounting occurs

− via the elongated slots or

− via the four mounting holes to mount directly to 4 inch electrical boxes or single gang

switch boxes (for US).
