Intended Use

•

The article is intended to be used on all customary toilets.

•

The article is designed for personal use only and is not intended

for commercial applications.

•

Use the article only as described in the instructions. Any other

use is deemed to be improper.

•

The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects

caused by improper handling or damage. This also applies to

normal wear and tear.

Safety Instructions

■

Danger of suffocation! Keep the article and the packaging

material away from children and animals.

■

This article is not a toy!

■

Batteries can be deadly if swallowed. Therefore keep

batteries and the article out of the reach of children and animals.

If a battery is swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately.

■

Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in

the battery compartment and on the batteries are clean; clean

them if necessary.

■

Use only the battery type speciﬁ ed in the technical data (see

the "Technical Data" section).

■

Always replace all the batteries at the same time. Do not

use batteries of different types or brands, or batteries with

different capacities. When replacing batteries, note the correct

polarity (+/–).

■

Take the batteries out of the battery compartment when they are

discharged or if the article is not being used. This will prevent

any damage that might occur if a battery leaks.

■

Should a battery have leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and

mucous membranes to come into contact with the battery acid.

If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected sites with abundant

fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as soon as

possible.

■

Remove a leaking battery from the battery compartment

immediately. Clean the contacts before you insert a new battery.

■

Children must be supervised in order to ensure that they do not

play with the article.

■

The article should only be used in closed rooms.

■

Do not expose the article to extreme temperatures, direct

sunlight or strongly ﬂ uctuating temperatures.

■

Do not drop the article or subject it to severe impact.

■

Maintain a sufﬁ cient distance from candles, ﬁ replaces, hobs, or

other sources of ﬁ re and heat.

■

Ensure that the housing cannot fall into water or become wet.

To clean the article, wipe the housing with a soft, dry cloth.

More intense soiling can be wiped off with a slightly damp cloth.

■

Keep the article out of the reach of children and animals in a

dry, clean place that is protected from direct sunlight.

■

If the article is broken, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In the

event of any damage, contact our customer service department.

Instructions

Putting Into Operation

The motion sensor only works in a dark environment.

1. Unpack all the parts. Check the items supplied for possible

transport damage. If you should ﬁ nd any transport damage,

do not use the article(!), but contact the customer service

department immediately.

2. Open the battery compartment on the back of the housing by

pressing down the locking lug and ﬂ ipping open the battery

compartment.

3. Insert 3 x 1.5 V batteries, AAA type into the battery compartment.

Pay attention to the correct polarity (+/–).

4. Fit the battery compartment cover again and press it down until

it engages audibly.

5. Set the colour mode you want by repeatedly pressing the

button on the front of the housing. The article is preset to colour

change. You can select each of the 7 colours as a constant light

or switch back to colour change.

6. Adjust the brightness of the light by holding down the colour

selection button for 3 seconds. The light ﬂ ashes once. You can

now adjust the brightness in 5 levels by pressing the button

again.

7. Attach the article to a suitable place under the toilet seat using

the ﬂ exible suspension device. When you do this, make sure:

– that the housing is hanging on the outside. Only the

suspension device with the light may hang in the toilet bowl.

– that the motion sensor is not hanging at the back of the toilet

so that it can detect movements.

8. If the motion sensor detects a movement, the LED light is

automatically switched on.

9. The LED light switches off automatically after 25 seconds when

the motion sensor does not detect any more movement.

If the performance of the article diminishes, the batteries should

be replaced. The article indicates a weak battery each time it is

switched on by ﬂ ashing 5 times.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally

friendly manner. It is reusable. Take it to a recycling centre.

Dispose of the article in an environmentally friendly

manner. It should not be disposed of in the normal

household waste. Please dispose of it at a recycling centre

for used electrical and electronic devices. You can obtain

more information from your local authorities.

Non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries should

be removed before the article is disposed of and should

be disposed of separately from the article. To protect

the environment, non-rechargeable and rechargeable

batteries may not be disposed of with normal household

waste, but must be taken to suitable collection points.

Also note the relevant statutory regulations governing the

disposal of batteries.
