This article is used for decoration. It is not a toy!

The article is designed for personal use only and is not in-

tended for commercial applications. The article should only

be used as described in these instructions. Any other use is

deemed to be improper.

•

The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects

caused by improper handling, damage or unauthorised at-

tempts at repair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

Safety Instructions

Danger from battery acid! Batteries are deadly if swallowed!

Keep batteries and the article out of the reach of children and

animals. If a battery is swallowed, seek medical assistance

immediately.

■

Warning of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away

from children and animals.

■

Beware of battery acid! If a battery has leaked, do not

allow your skin, eyes and mucous membranes to come into

contact with the battery acid. If you touch battery acid, rinse

the affected area with abundant fresh water immediately and

contact a doctor as soon as possible.

The Proper Handling of Batteries

■

Before inserting the battery, check whether the contacts in

the article and on the battery are clean, and clean them if

necessary.

■

Use only the battery type speciﬁ ed in the technical data (see

the "Technical Data" section).

■

When replacing batteries, ensure the correct polarity (+ / –).

■

Take the battery out of the article when it is dead or if you will

not be using the article for a prolonged period. This will prevent

any damage that might occur if a battery leaks.

■

If a battery has leaked, remove it from the article immediately.

Clean the contacts on the article before inserting a new battery.

■

The battery must not be charged or reactivated in any way,

it must not be disassembled, thrown into a ﬁ re, immersed in

liquids or short-circuited.

Avoiding Damage to Material and Property

■

Use the article only in closed rooms.

■

Protect the article from heat, naked ﬂ ames, extreme tempera-

tures, moisture, wet conditions and collisions.

■

To clean the article, dust it with a soft, dry cloth. More intense

soiling can be wiped off with a damp cloth.

■

Keep the article out of the reach of children and animals in a

dry place that is protected from direct sunlight.

■

If the article is broken, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In

the event of any damage, please contact our customer service

department.

Putting Into Operation

The battery was secured with a ﬁ lm for transportation

purposes. Remove the ﬁ lm to activate the article.

1. Unpack the article and check the items supplied for possible

transport damage. If you should ﬁ nd any transport damage, do

not use the article(!), but contact the customer service depart-

ment.

2. To switch on the article, slide the switch on the bottom to the

position ON 1 for warm white constant light or to ON 2 for

changing colour, ﬂ ickering (red, yellow, blue, green). The

article switches off automatically after 4 hours. To switch it

back on again, slide the switch once to the OFF position and

then back to the ON 1 or ON 2 position.

3. Slide the switch to the OFF position to switch the article off

again.

Changing / Removing the Battery

If the performance of the article diminishes, the battery should be

replaced:

1. Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the article:

Press the locking catch on the battery compartment cover and

remove

2. Insert a new 3 V battery of the CR2032 type. Ensure the

correct polarity (+ / –).

3. Reattach the battery compartment cover and ﬂ ip it shut so that

it can be heard to engage in place.

The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the pack-

aging in an environmentally friendly manner and take it to a

recycling centre.

Dispose of the article in an environmentally friendly manner

at a recycling centre for used electrical and electronic

devices. More information is available from your local

authorities.

The battery should be removed prior to disposal of the article

and disposed of separately from the article. To protect the

environment, non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries

may not be disposed of with normal household waste, but

must be taken to suitable collection points. Note the relevant

statutory regulations governing the disposal of batteries!
