4. Radio technology
Radio technology is the most modern form of time transmission.
With good reception, a radio-controlled clock keeps very precise
time and need never be reset. With all radio-controlled clocks a
deviation of just 1 second over 1 million years can be expected.
The official German transmitter is in the vicinity of Frankfurt/Main
and transmits via long wave 77,5 kHz within a radius of approx.
1,500 km.
5. Setting up
Open the hinged battery cover (3) on the rear of the alarm clock and
insert one 1.5V alkaline battery, type LR 6 (size AA), ensuring that
the + and the – are the right way round. Refit the battery cover.
6. Setting the time automatically
After that, the second, minute an hour hands will fast move forward
to the 12 o´clock position and then enter to the signal reception
mode. The entire signal reception process takes 5 to 10 minutes

approximately. If signal is received successfully, the hands will move
to the correct time. If in doubt, repeat the start-up procedure.
7. Manual time setting
Press SET button (6) for more than 3 seconds time to enter the ma-
nual time setting mode. When pressing the SET button, the minute
hand will move fast forward until the SET button is released on the
correct time. Each press of the SET button will move the minute
hand to 1 minute forward.
8. Manual receive modus
Press WAVE button (5) for more than 3 seconds time. The second,
minute and hour hands will fast move forward to 12 o'clock position ,
and then enter to the signal reception mode. If the signal is received
successfully, the hands will move to the correct time. If the signal
receive is weak or failed, the clock will starts working from 12
o'clock, and automatically enter to signal reception mode (6 times
per day at 2:00, 5:00, 11:00, 14:00, 17:00, 23:00 o´clock) until the
signal will be received successfully.
9. Reset
On rare occasions when the clock may not respond when pressing
the buttons or well functioning, remove the battery and wait about 2
minutes before installig the battery again to re-start the clock.
