The Nature of Wood

The wood provided for your gazebo is soft wood which has been kiln dried and is pressure

treated. Wood is a natural product, which may have knots, knotholes, imperfections, cracks and

warping.

• Due to the inherent peculiarities of wood we make no guarantees with regards to the above,

nor will we replace any lengths of timber for any of the following reasons:

• Any timber that has been treated, painted or stained by the purchaser.

• Any timber that contains knots where they do not influence the structural stability of the

gazebo.

• Cosmetic appearances - colour variations caused by the structure or age of the timber.

• Timber that has shakes, cracks or gaps that do not influence the structural strength of the

gazebo.

• Twisted timber that can be installed.

• Queries arising from a neglectful manner of construction, be it with the foundation or erection

of the gazebo.

• Queries due to modifications by the owner, such as introduction of own guttering, etc,

causing timber to deform.

• Any valid queries will be satisfied by the exchange or replacement of the defective parts

only.

GETTING READY

Prior to assembly, store all components in a cool, dry place away from direct contact with the

ground, sunlight or moisture. When selecting the location for your gazebo, ensure that the

gazebo will not be subjected to extreme weather conditions. If your gazebo is in an isolated

area where strong winds often occur, then you should take precautions to secure the gazebo to

the ground.

Always check all parts are present and correct prior to commencing the gazebo construction

Allow sufficient time to familiarize yourself, or the customers builders, with the instructions

Pre-drill all screws to avoid splitting the timber.
