other lights on the same frequency channel when motion is detected.
The product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors.
Contact with moisture must be avoided under all circumstances.
If you use the product for purposes other than those described, the product may be damaged.
Improper use can result in short circuits, fires, or other hazards.

accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
– is visibly damaged,
– is no longer working properly,
– has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
– has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
■
Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the product.
■
Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the appliance.
5.3 Operating environment

■
The batteries should be removed from the device if it is not used for a long period of time to avoid
damage through leaking. Leaking or damaged batteries might cause acid burns when in contact with
skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves to handle corrupted batteries.
■
Batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying around, as there is risk,
that children or pets swallow them.
■
All batteries should be replaced at the same time. Mixing old and new batteries in the device can lead
to battery leakage and device damage.
■
Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire. Never recharge non-rechargeable
batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
5.5 LED light
■
Do not look directly into the LED light!
■
Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
6 Installing batteries
Note:
If an insulating strip protrudes from the battery compartment, batteries are installed already. Pull the
strip out to establish the power supply.

RECONDITIONS
a
Prepare the required number of batteries of the correct type as stated in the section "Technical data".
1. Unlock the battery compartment cover and remove it.
2. Insert the batteries into the battery compartment observing the polarity markings in the compartment.
3. Attach the compartment cover and lock it. If a seal is present, make sure it sits correctly and you do
not damage it when attaching the cover.
7 Mounting
7.1 Selecting mounting locations
When you choose mounting locations for the wall lights, it is important to consider the maximum wireless
range between the lights and the limitations of the motion sensor (PIR).
7.1.1 Placement diagram
When selecting mounting locations, observe the values given in the diagrams for optimal performance.
Wireless range

7.1.2 Factors affecting wireless signal strength
Surrounding objects can reduce the strength of the wireless signal:
■
Walls and reinforced concrete ceilings
■
Coated or vaporised insulating glass panes
■
Proximity to metallic and conductive objects (e.g., radiators)
■
Broadband interference, e.g. in residential areas (DECT phones, mobile phones, radio headsets,
wireless speakers, wireless weather stations, baby monitoring systems, etc.)
■
Electric motors, transformers, power-supply units and computers
■
Poorly shielded or uncovered computers or other electrical appliances
7.1.3 Factors affecting motion detection
The passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor reacts to changes in temperature, e.g. when a person or animal
enters the detection area.
■
Position the sensor so the object moves across the detection area.
■
The correct installation height should be observed.
■
Do not point the sensor at radiators, lights, or objects with varying temperatures (e.g. electronic equip-
ment), and objects that may move due to the flow of air. This may trigger the sensor unintentionally.
■
Do not install the product behind glass.
■
Keep the sensor away from direct sunlight.
7.2 Mounting with screws
Mount the light using screws and wall plugs.
WARNING
Concealed wires. Risk of deadly electric shock when drilling.
● Check for concealed wires before drilling.
1. Drill holes and insert wall plugs.
2. Use screws to fix the mounting plate in place.
3. Hang the light on the mounting plate.
