9. Connect the Firewire IEEE 1394 cable to the Firewire port on both XPacket

Storage Device and the computer.

10. Make sure the computer is power on and close all other windows in prepa-

ration for new hardware recognition.

11. Connect DC-adapter to XPacket Storage Device and make sure the power

switch is off. Press O to switch off, press I to switch on. Connect the power

cord to the power socket to complete the hardware connection.

12. Make sure the computer is powered on and close all windows in preparation

for new hardware recognition.
