4.1.2 Preliminary work

In case T/C is installed



Remove engine cowling to gain unimpeded access to the T/C.



Remove soot and dirt from the working area if necessary.



Remove exhaust pipe if necessary.

4.1.2.2 In case T/C is uninstalled



Fix T/C in clamp vice using protective jaws. Clamp on turbine housing or compressor

housing only.



Remove oil and dirt from the working area.

Do not use any corrosive detergents, high pressure cleaner or scraping tools!

Do not clamp on sealing surfaces, threads or the waste gate controller
