Residual heat indicator

The cooktop has a residual heat indicator for each
cooking zone.
If a zero continues to be displayed, the cooking zone
is still too hot. It may be used, for example, to keep a
small meal warm or to melt cooking chocolate. The
display remains lit until the cooking zone has cooled
sufficiently.

Special accessories

BT 481-000: Metal roasting dish made from cast
aluminium with lid, non-stick, for 18 x 41.5 cm cooking
zone.

Twistpad with magnetic knob

The twistpad is the settings area in which you use the
magnetic knob to select a cooking zone and to set the
heat setting. The magnetic knob automatically centres
itself in the twistpad.
The magnetic knob is placed on the twistpad. You can
activate the corresponding cooking zone by pushing
the magnetic knob in the direction of the cooking zone
symbol. Turn the magnetic knob to set the heat
setting.

Removing the magnetic knob

The magnetic knob is removable. This makes it easier
to clean the cooktop.
If you remove the magnetic knob while the cooktop is
in operation, all cooking zones are switched off after
3 seconds.
ã
Risk of fire!
If you place a metal object on the twistpad within
3 seconds, the cooktop may continue to heat up. For
this reason, always switch off the cooktop using the
main switch.

Storing the magnetic knob

The magnetic knob contains a strong magnet. Keep
the magnetic knob away from magnetic data carriers,
such as video cassettes, diskettes, credit cards or
cards with magnetic strips. The data these contain
could otherwise be wiped. They can also cause
interference in television sets and monitors.
ã
Warning!
For wearers of electronic implants, e.g. pacemakers or
insulin pumps. Implants could be affected by magnetic
fields. You must therefore never carry the magnetic
knob in a pocket in your clothing. They must be kept at
least 10 cm from pacemakers.
Note: The magnetic knob has a magnet. Metal
particles which stick to the underside can scratch the
ceramic cooktop. Always wipe the magnetic knob
thoroughly.
