feet, allowing 100 percent gain (all 100 watts of power may be utilized without producing feedback). Of course, these are ex-
tremes, but they illustrate the importance of speaker and microphone placement in determining the gain of the system. In
most cases it's not possible to locate the microphone 500 feet from the speakers. The challenge is to position the speakers
to adequately cover the listening area while positioning the microphone to maximize the gain.
