Practical references

The best results are normally achieved if the subwoofer is directed towards

the listener in the listening room and placed between the front /main speakers

in direct proximity to the wall. The floor and the walls will affect the bass level

as well as the acoustics.

If the subwoofer is to be placed in a corner, the maximum output level is

reached easily through the room acoustic conditional corner loading amplifi-

cation, but the spatial sound quality might suffer thereby.

If the positioning directly in the middle is impossible, set up the subwoofer

preferably to the right of the listening position, as the percussion of an orchestra

is normally found on this side of the stage.

Under no circumstances should one conceal or cover the reverse of the device,

since the amplifier of the subwoofer may become too hot and automatically

activate the protection circuit. Also ensure that the backside of the unit is not

exposed to continuous direct sunlight.

Since the power cord plug is found on the reverse of the device, we recommend

a gap of at least 2 inches (5 cm) between the wall and the subwoofer. If you have

the flexibility, it is preferable to allow the device even more distance.

No matter where you place the subwoofer, with a little patience, some time and

an extensive selection of music material or film sections, you will quickly

achieve optimal performance and sound.
