What to do if ...
Problem
The control panel is switched off and/or
the appliance does not work
The inside light does not work.
Temperature inside the compartments is
not low enough.
Water collects at the bottom of the
refrigerator compartment.
The front edge of the refrigerator next to
the seal is hot.
The inside light flashes
The temperature inside the refrigerator
compartment is too low
Excessive frost build-up in the freezer
compartment
One or more green lights flash
continuously.
Before contacting the After-Sales Service:
Switch the appliance on again to see if the problem has
disappeared. If not, switch it off again and repeat the operation
after an hour.
If your appliance still does not work properly after carrying out
the checks listed in the troubleshooting guide and switching
the appliance on again, contact the After-sales service, clearly
explaining the problem and specifying:
• the type of fault;
• the model;
Possible causes:
There may be a problem with the power
supply to the appliance.
The light may need replacing.
Malfunction of a technical component
There could be various causes (see
"Solution").
The defrost water drain is blocked.
The drain hose is not in the compressor
tray
This is not a problem. It prevents
condensation from forming.
"Door open" alarm active
It is activated when the refrigerator
compartment door remains open for a
prolonged period of time.
Freezing large quantities of food
also lowers the temperature in the
refrigerator compartment
The freezer compartment door does not
close properly
Malfunction Alarm
The alarm indicates a fault in a technical
component
Note:
Gurgling, hissing and humming noises from the refrigerating system are
normal.
• the type and serial number of the appliance (given on the
rating plate);
• the Service number (the number after the word SERVICE on the
rating plate inside the appliance).
Solutions:
Check that:
• there is no power cut
• the power plug is properly inserted in
the socket and the bipolar power switch,
if present, is set to the correct position
(on)
• the household electrical system
protection devices are in good working
order
• the power supply cable is not damaged.
• switch the appliance on with the Temp.
button.
Contact an authorized Service Centre.
Check that:
• the doors are closed properly
• the appliance is not installed near a
heat source
• the temperature is set appropriately
• air circulation inside the appliance is not
obstructed in any way (see installation)
Clean the defrost water drain outlet (see
"Cleaning and maintenance")
Check that:
• The tube is correctly inserted in the tray
No solution is required.
To stop the alarm, close the refrigerator
door.
On reopening the door, check the light
works
• wait until food is fully frozen
• follow the indications on the rating plate
regarding the maximum amount of food
that can be frozen.
Defrost the freezer compartment and
check the door closes properly
Call the authorised Service Centre.
