Dismounting and Disassembly

for Cleaning/Maintenance

Dismounting

1. Make sure the power source is turned off or disconnected.

2. Loosen the thumbscrew (Fig. 16) and slide the unit from the hub. (Fig. 17)

3. Set the unit on a stable working surface.

Disassembly

1. Unlatch the front housing and swing it toward you.

2. Swing the feed plate all the way up and slip it off the front housing and set aside.

3. Lift the front housing from the pivots and set it aside.

4. Remove the processing plate unit.

5. To disassemble the processing plate units, follow the assembly instructions in reverse order.

Cleaning & Maintenance

1. Turn off power source and carefully disassemble the unit.

2. Wash the plate with running water and make sure no food is attached after.

3. After every cleaning apply a thin coating of sanitary petroleum jelly to all bearing surfaces.

Do not use vegetable oil. If adjusting nuts and screws become stiff to work with, apply a drop of food

grade sanitary mineral oil.
