The pump has switched off.
Possible cause
Rotary switch of non-return
valve is set to START.
Non-return valve of the
manometric switch is blocked.
Seal failed on the output side
(leak).
Deposits of dirt on the impeller
of the dry-running safety
device.
Throughput was < 140 l/h for
several minutes.
Note: Even a small leak (loss of just a few ml) can cause the
pressure to drop below the pressure needed for switching
on the pump. The cause is often small leaks in taps or WC-
cisterns.
Pump ON
Shortage of water during operation. The pump tries to draw in
flashes
water twice (4 min. pumping time with 1 minute interval).
The pump is in the wait position before starting new attempts at
suction after 1 min / 1 h / 5 h / 24 h.
The pump tries to draw in water 3 times (4 minutes pumping time

After 5 suction attempts, the pump switches off.
Possible cause
Leak on the suction side.
Suction hose is no longer in the
water.
Water reservoir (e.g. under-
ground storage tanks) empty.
Suction filter or backflow
preventer blocked.
After rectifying the faults ERROR 02, ERROR 03, ERROR 04, ERROR 07,
ERROR 09 the pump can only be restarted by pressing the reset
key.
The pump has switched on and off frequently although no water
has been drawn off.
Possible cause
Not watertight on the delivery
side (leak).
Remedy
➜ Turn rotary switch to RUN.
➜ Clean non-return valve
(see 7. Maintenance).
➜ Check outlet and all hose
and accessories connected
to it for leaks.
➜ Contact GARDENA Service.
➜ Increase throughput.
Remedy
➜ Check all the suction
connections.
➜ Submerge end of suction
hose fully in the water.
➜ Check the water level is
high enough.
➜ Clean filter or backflow
preventer.
Remedy
➜ Check delivery pipeline and
valves/ taps connected to it
for leaks.
