Information for the installer

end of the hose is 19 mm diameter and should fit

any available sink trap connections and is

secured by means of the hose clip supplied.

Should you wish to hook the outlet hose onto a

sink use the plastic hose holder supplied with

the machine. The holder has a hole to enable

you to secure the holder to the wall if the sink

edge is too wide. In this case thread a piece of

string through the hole and secure to the tap or

wall above the sink.

Baskets

To protect the baskets against damage during

transport, they are secured with polystyrene

which must be removed.

Installation

The appliance must stand level and on a firm

base.

The floor should be clean and free from floor pol-

ish and grease.

The appliance has adjustable feet. If necessary

adjust feet.

See enclosed installation instructions for build-

under or integrated appliances.

Free-standing appliance

Should the machine be built under a worktop in a

built-in kitchen, it is necessary to remove the

table top of the machine. To comply with the

Safety Regulations, the machine must be

installed in such a way that there is no access

to live parts or internal connections with func-

tional insulation.

Note: (This applies to free-standing appliances

with worktop only).

Should a dishwasher be installed next to a gas,

solid fuel or electric cooker due to lack of space,

a heat insulating panel (85 x 57.5 cm) has to be

fitted, the side facing the cooker has to be lined

up with aluminium foil.

Important

2 plastic clamping springs and 2 metal pins are

supplied with the machine to provide additional

holding of the decor panel.

When the decor panel is mounted, the clamping

spring has to be pushed completely into the exist-

ing recess between decor frame and switch panel

frame. Then insert the filling pin and break off the

protruding end (see illustration).

If you intend to change the decor panel remove

the before-mentioned fastening by tapping it from

the side with the screwdriver or a similar utensil.

Be careful not do damage the decor frame. The

fastening you removed cannot be re-used and

you have to order new ones. These are available

from the AEG Spare Parts Department.
