1. Replacing the Processor

Ê Loosen the heat sink by unlocking the four screws

Ê Remove the residual thermal paste from the underside of the heat sink.

Ê Clean the underside of the heat sink using a lint-free cloth.

Ê Using a screwdriver, turn the locking mechanism counter-clockwise as far as

it will go

Ê Lift the installed processor carefully out of the socket.

Ê Remove the protective cap from the new processor.

Ê Position the new processor over the socket and insert it carefully into the

socket.

CAUTION!

The processor can only be installed in one particular direction. Pay

attention to the location mark on one of the corners and the recesses

at the sides. Do not use force to press it into the socket to avoid

damaging the pins or the processor.
