These braces are made of neoprene other lightweight materials, but also
feature metal or plastic stays that support your wrist and/or palm and/or
thumb in a strong way, depending on the kind of support you need. They
are all universal size and can be fit in both hands (left or right), by
changing the position of the rigid parts. They have extra straps for better
support and security. The metal or plastic stays can be removed according
to your physician's instructions and the brace can be worn as a moderate,
still strong enough support. Check the steps below to apply them in either
of your hands.
1.
Wrist splints with straps, ambidextrous (black or beige)
a.
Depending on whether you will apply the splint to your
left or right hand, place the aluminum support stay in
the appropriate pocket and secure with the Velcro. The
aluminum support is ergonomically designed in order to
follow your palm's shape and support you wrist and
palm effectively.
b.
Place your hand in the splint positioning your palm to
follow the curves of the aluminum stay and your thumb
in the opening.
c.
Bring the Velcro straps around and secure the opening of
the splint. Secure the opening in your thumb the same
way.
d.
Bring the long strap around the splint and secure
with the Velcro for extra support.
2.
Wrist splint with thumb support and strap, ambidextrous
This splint is applied exactly like the one described right above, only while
the other one leaves your thumb free, this one provides extra support for
the thumb, as well as the wrist. Thumb is supported with an extra
aluminum strip on the side of the splint. This splint can also be worn in
both hands if you only switch the wrist support to the appropriate pocket
depending on the hand you wish to wear it on.
3.
Thumb splint, ambidextrous
This splint fully supports your thumb while allows you to move your wrist.
It features only one aluminum stay for the thumb. Same as other splints
can be applied to your left or your right hand.
Place your thumb in the thumb loop positioning the splint stay on your
thumb side down to your wrist side. Then bring the wrist strap around your
wrist and secure with the Velcro. Your splint is ready.
