A.H. Systems SAS-544 High Field Biconical Antenna
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
The SAS-544 Biconical Antenna is shipped with the elements detached from
the balun. Simply remove the elements from the shipping container and attach
the elements to the balun assembly.
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
The SAS-544 biconical antenna is supplied with an antenna balun clamp. Place
the SAS-544 balun assembly into the balun mounting clamp, attach the balun
mounting clamp on to a tripod or azimuth and elevation head with a 1/4-20
thread.
Mount the antenna such that the elements are parallel to the ground for
horizontal polarization testing, or perpendicular to the ground for vertical testing.
The biconical antenna should be pointed or aimed in the direction of the
transmission path with the elements perpendicular to the transmission path.
