Water Level Sensor

Location of the Water Level Sensor

You might have to reposition the water level sensor based on which setup you will be using.

The filter comes standard with the water level sensor next to the drum, this is for the gravity

setup. If you want to use a pump fed setup, you need to move the water level sensor to the

front chamber of the filter and turn it upwards, see figure 6.

Gravity Setup: the water level sensor should be placed downwards in the chamber of the

drum, and both floats must be under water. Explanation: when the filter panel is full of dirt,

the water can no longer pass through the panel. This will cause the water level in the cham-

ber of the drum to drop, and the top float will move downwards. The water level sensor de-

tects that the position of this float has changed and the cleaning process will get activated.

Pump Fed Setup: the water level sensor should be placed upwards in the front chamber of

the filter, and both floats must be above the water. Explanation: when the filter panel is full

of dirt, the water can no longer pass through the panel. This will cause the water level in the

front chamber to rise, and the bottom float will move upwards. The water level sensor de-

tects that the position of this float has changed and the cleaning process will get activated.
