• WARNING. DO NOT allow the Controller to come close to any hot objects such as
Electric Fires, Gas Heaters, Radiators etc. There is a risk of damage to the product.
• PROTECTION DEVICES: This Heated Product is fitted with two thermally operated
safety devices:
1. Controller Protection – DEVICE 1: The Controller has a self-resetting thermal
device that operates if the Controller is placed on or under the heated blanket. It resets
after around 1hr. once it is removed from the hot area.
2. Blanket Fault Protection – DEVICE 2: The second device protects against the risk of
the blanket overheating due to a fault. It is a Thermal Fuse and DOES NOT reset.
• WARNING – DEVICE 1. Take care not to operate the Heated Wrap with the
Controller placed on or under the heated area. This can cause the over-temperature
device within the Controller to operate which will render your product temporarily
unusable. Should this occur, the Controller will display a letter "C". Disconnect the Mains
Plug and remove the Controller from the heated area/s and leave to cool for 1 hour. After
this time the Heated Wrap will function as normal.
• WARNING – DEVICE 2: This product is also fitted with a Thermal Fuse. If the
Heated Wrap overheats, then this fuse will operate, and the Heated Wrap will no
longer work. The fuse is not resettable. In the unlikely event that this happens contact
your Service Department for advice.
• WARNING. DO NOT wrap the controller in the Heated Wrap
when operating. This may cause overheating and malfunction.
• WARNING. DO NOT operate the Heated Wrap when it is folded
up as this will cause overheating and a malfunction to occur.
• IMPORTANT. This is a CLASS II Product and as such does not need to be EARTHED.
HEALTH ADVISORY
Temperature Sensitivity – Persons with poor awareness of temperature
should avoid using an Electric Blanket or a Heated Wrap for extended periods.
This includes but is not limited to persons suffering from Diabetes where some
sufferers can develop Diabetic Neuropathy leading to numbness and an inability
to sense when something is hot.
Pregnancy – Pregnant women should also exercise caution as there is some
evidence that the higher body temperatures associated with the use of Heated
Blankets, Throws or similar Heated Products for extended periods or at high
temperature levels can be harmful to the foetus.
