Possible Cause

Packing is loose.

Packing is worn.

Object is wedged

between plug and seat.

Actuator closed position is

out of adjustment.

Plug is worn or damaged.

Rubber on plug is torn.

Corrective Action

Adjust Packing.

Completely open the valve

to flush object from the

valve. If flushing does not

work, remove valve from

the pipeline and remove
