The following changes were made in this release:
1. The /etc/syslog-ng/syslog-ng.conf file was changed to include the source "/var/run/evt_syslog_pipe".
2. The /etc/config_files file was changed to include the following lines:
/etc/event_notif.conf
/etc/event_notif.lnk
/etc/logpipe/logpipe.conf
/etc/adsap2.conf
/etc/CA/ssh_appliance_key
3. The /etc/rc.sysinit file was changed to include the make of the fifo devices. The following lineswere
included:
# create the fifo devices for event notifications
mkfifo -m 666 /var/run/snmp_pipe
mkfifo -m 666 /var/run/evt_syslog_pipe
mkfifo -m 666 /dev/evt_pipe_logpipe
4. The /etc/daemon_list file was changed to include the following line:
EVTGEN /etc/daemon.d/event_gen.sh
LOGPIPE /etc/daemon.d/logpipe.sh
ADSAP2 /etc/daemon.d/adsap2.sh
5. The /etc/portslave/pslave.conf file was changed to include the parameters for DSView 3 software
integration.
6. The /etc/inetd.conf file was changed to include the following comment lines :
# DLA feature (DSView 3 software integration)
#telnet stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/tcpd /usr/local/sbin/telnetd -L /bin/login
7. The /etc/sudoers file was changed to include commands for DSView 3 software Integration.
8. CLI and Web interfaces were modified to support configuration changes in the redesigned Power
Management daemon.

10. PM Firmware upgrade command (pmfwupgrade) syntax changed:
pmfwupgrade [<options>] {all | -s <serial device name> | <IPDU id>} [<filename>]
<options>:
-h Show this help message and exit
-f Do the upgrade without asking any question
-F Do the upgrade without logical connection with PM
-v Print messages about the execution
-s <serial device name>: Serial port name where the PM unit is connected
<IPDU id>: IPDU identification name
<filename>: The new firmware to upload to the PM unit. Default:/tmp/pmfirmware
11. The PM menu interface command was changed from pm to pmMenu, and it will not require the
serial port as parameter.
12. The PM command line interface command (pmCommand) will not require the serial port as
parameter either; however, it will behave like the "old" pmCommand if serial port is passed as
parameter.
13. The file /etc/services was modified to include the following entry for Kerberized Telnet:
ktelnet
23/tcp
