Mistral Second Stage Technical Maintenance Manual

Properly position the face of the adjusting tool (p/n 125727) on the

top of the sealing ring (4). Using a ¼" nut driver, tighten or loosen

the locknut to adjust the lever height so that the lever is touching

the tool. To raise the lever height, tighten the locknut in until the

lever reaches the correct height. To lower the lever height, loosen

the locknut. With the lever touching the tool, there should be

no leaks.

CAUTION:

1. The adjusting tool must be used

in the right direction, with the cut out in the

center of the tool facing up.

2. The tool should be placed in line with the

inlet ﬁ tting (19) (see photos).

Once the adjustment is completed, turn off the air supply and

purge the regulator.

19. Install the sealing ring (4) onto the diaphragm (5) and

place the assembly into the inhalation box (6).

20. Place the exhalation box (2) onto the inhalation box (6),

then install the 4 screws (1).

21. Fit 4 new locknuts (7) into the inhalation box, then tighten

the screws (1) using a 3 mm allen key until snug.

22. Tighten the MP hose to the second stage using a 11/16

(17mm) crow's foot, apply a torque of 40 in/lbs.

NOTE:

The original Mistral regulator used

Panduit clamps to attach the corrugated hoses

to the mouthpiece and second stage. New

re-usable clamping bands are now being

used. they have been added to the service

kit for a period of two years. these should be

installed during annual service.

23. Install the cleaned corrugated hoses to the inhalation/

exhalation boxes and the mouthpiece. Do not install the

clamping bands in this step.

NOTE:

Cleaning procedures for the corrugated

hoses are found on p. 14, Procedure A:

Cleaning and Lubricating.

a. The "M" clamping band will be used on the mouth-

piece. For detailed installation prodecures, see the Mistral

Mouthpiece Technical Maintenance Manual.

CAUTION:

The corrugated hoses should be ﬁ tted

to the connectors so that the gas can circulate in

the direction indicated by the arrows engraved on

the mouthpiece body.
