Shutting Down the Analyzer

Proper shut downs rinse the analyzer to keep it in
good condition. So it is important to perform shut
downs when the analyzer will not be used for
extended periods of time. It is preferable to leave
the analyzer on overnight if samples will be run
within a couple of days.
Between 3-10 days of non-use
If the analyzer will not be used for more than 3 days but
less than 10 days, follow this procedure.
1. Touch the Exit icon.
2. Select shut down, then press accept.
3. Power off the analyzer when it emits a tone.
More than 10 days
Follow the instructions below if the analyzer will be
shipped or not used for more than 10 days. Detailed
instructions will be displayed on the screen.
1. Press the Exit icon.
2. Select prepare for shipment.
3. Follow on screen instructions and disconnect
the reagent tubing lines and connect the
cleaning tube.
4. Put the end of the cleaning tube into distilled water.
5. Power off the analyzer when instructed.
