What should I do if ...
... the burner does not ignite even
after several attempts?
Check whether:
– the burner is properly assembled.
– the gas valve is open.
– the burner is clean and dry.
– the flame openings are clear and
dry.
– the fuse or breaker was tripped.
Contact a qualified electrician or
Customer Service for assistance. You
can light a gas burner with matches
instead (see the section on "Power
outages").
Troubleshooting
... the gas flame goes out AFTER
ignition?
Check that the burner cover is properly
in place.
... the electrical ignition is not
working?
Check whether there are food particles
between the ignition electrode and the
burner cover. Carefully remove the
debris. Make sure the ignition electrode
does not get wet.
... the flame suddenly looks
different?
Check that the burner is properly
assembled.
