Mode Control For Variable Shade Helmets

Press Mode button to

turn lens on and display

current settings in each

mode. Lens also turns

on when exposed to

welding arc.

Press Mode button to turn

lens on and to select the

mode appropriate for the work

activity. Do no use helmet if

the lens does not function as

described (See Section 11-1).

Weld Mode- used for most

welding applications. In this

mode the lens turns on when

it optically senses a welding

arc. Adjust shade, delay, and

sensitivity settings as needed.

Cut Mode- used for cutting

applications. In this mode the

lens turns on when it optically

senses a cutting arc. Adjust

shade, delay and sensitivity

settings as needed.

Grind Mode- used for metal

grinding applications. In this

mode the shade is fixed

shade No. 3. No lens adjust-

ments are possible.
