Read these directions for use carefully before using.

Keep these directions for use where they will be
accessible for all users.

Failure to comply with the directions for use shall
render all warranty conditions null and void and
may lead to personal injury and material damage.

The instrument must only be used by qualified
skilled employees.
Safety instructions before using
`
`
Follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety
instructions of the medium you are sampling.
`
`
When sampling hazardous substances, follow
the technical rules on hazardous substances (in
accordance with TRGS – (German) Technical Rules
on Hazardous Substances) and wear appropriate
protective equipment.
`
`
The instrument must only be used within the
confines of applicable material resistance and for its
designated purpose. Any other type of use will affect
the warranty/guarantee.
`
`
Do not use any force when operating the instru-
ment.
NOTE!
Before using, the instrument has to be cleaned to
the extent of your (validated) cleaning process.
`
`
Measures of manual cleaning have to be carried
out in the cleaning/desinfection area and under
consideration of occupational health and safety.
`
`
Pay attention to the material resistance.
Safety instructions during and after use
`
`
The instrument can be used at temperatures up to
60 °C.
`
`
The sampling area has to be free of disturbing fac-
tors and hazard sources (e.g. rotating elements).
`
`
Do not perform any lever or batting movements
during the application. The instrument may be
deformed.
`
`
Only operate the instrument with manual force.
`
`
Pay attention to have sufficient space during use.
`
`
The sampling area must be observable during the
use.
`
`
Wear the appropriate protective clothing.
Layout and function
`
`
The instrument is made of stainless steel 1.4404
(AISI 316 L).
`
`
The instrument is suitable to take surface samples
of frozen, highly viscous, paste-like food such as
ice-cream and similar substances.
`
`
The instrument is maintenance-free and suitable for
steam sterilisation (up to 121°C).
Parts in contact with medium
`
`
Stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316 L)
Point out any damage in the packaging to the freight
forwarder/supplier immediately.
Safe sampling
CAUTION!
Sharp parts on the instrument. Risk of injury.
`
`
Keep hands well away from the cutting area.
`
`
Do not insert the instrument into the mouth.
CAUTION!
Frostbites due to contact with deep-frozen
sampling material.
`
`
Minimize contact time.
`
`
Wear the appropriate protective clothing (cold
protection gloves).
1. Connect the collection cylinder  to the instrument
using the bayonet connection .
CAUTION!
Moving parts on the instrument. Risk of crushing.
Attach the collection cylinder carefully.
`
`
NOTE!
Possible loss of the collection cylinder during use.
`
`
Verify that the collection cylinder is attached
correctly before use.
2. Screw the instrument clockwise into the medium to
be sampled.
3. Pull the instrument out of the medium to be
sampled.
4. Disconnect the collection cylinder from the instru-
ment.
5. Carefully remove the sample from the instrument.
6. Clean the instrument.
