Main unit
[A] Do not place anything on top of the unit or block the heat vents in
any way.
Allow 10-cm clearance from the rear of the unit.
Note
The unit may become warm during operation, but this is normal.

Position the speakers
B
The two big speakers are front speakers. (SB-PM08)
The small speaker with the short cord is the center speaker
(SB-PC80, CENTER SPEAKER).
The small speakers with the long cords are surround speakers
(SB-PS80, SURROUND SPEAKER).
The model numbers and speaker names are printed on the back of
the speakers.
The front, center, and surround speakers should be placed at approx-
imately the same distance from the listening position.
The angles in the diagram are approximate.
a Front speakers
Place the speakers so that the superwoofers are on the outside.
Note
³Keep your speakers at least 10 mm (
proper ventilation.
³The superwoofers are located on the sides of the speakers. Leave
10-cm clearance for the superwoofers to be effective.
³To avoid damage to the speakers, do not touch the speaker
cones if you take the nets off. [C]
b Center speaker
Place the center speaker directly above the television.
c Surround speakers
Place the surround speakers either side of the listening position, or
slightly to the rear, about 1 meter higher than ear level.
Place the speakers with the Panasonic logo facing toward the listen-
ing position. However, the position should be adjusted to your per-
sonal preference, because the effect varies to some degree depend-
ing upon the type of music and the music source.
