How to use AXIS T8705 Network Video Decoder with your AXIS Companion

Configure stream profiles

Important

You must have the same settings for resolution and frame rate for the decoder as in the settings for the AXIS Companion

camers.

Check which stream profiles are available in your cameras:

1. In the AXIS Companion PC client, click on

2. Select a camera, right-click on the "small live view window" of the camera, and select Video Quality Settings.

3. Check the resolution and frame rate for High and Low for the cameras.

Set the same stream profiles in the decoder:

4. In the decoder´s webpage, in the top menu, select Video sources.

5. Click

6. Click Stream profiles.

7. Under High, set the same resolution, codec, frame rate, and compression as in High for the AXIS Companion cameras.

8. Under Medium, Low, and Small, set the same resolution, codec, frame rate, and compression as in Low for the

AXIS Companion cameras.

9. Click Save camera.

10. Repeat step 1 to 9 for each camera.

Configure display

1. In the top menu, select Display.

2. Go to Multi mode:

Select Multiview to show a matrix of several video streams.

Go to View, and select how many streams to show in the display.

Select Sequencer to show each camera, one at a time.

Go to Sequencer interval, and select for how long to display each camera.

3. Go to Video output, and select the resolution for the display.

4. Click Save.

and go to Cameras.
